It has come to my attention during a Google search, that B.B. Dickerson, the original bassist for war, and the musician who created the bass lines for their hits during the early 70's had passed away after a long illness on April 2nd of this year. I. I found a few videos of Eric Burdon and WAr. I always heard BB used a jazz bass but in the videos (1970) he was using a Gibson EB-3. Anyone have any information on the basses he used. I've searched the internet and have had difficulty finding much about B.B's gear, other than he played a J bass. From his tone, I am fairly confident he used flats. I love his tone, and was wondering if anyone had any gear insights? Thanks
