Betty White Stepchildren

Someone commented on the work it takes to make fresh homemade mashed potatoes and green beans. I think it's easy. Have learned to boil the potatoes in chicken broth and add butter, sour cream, and white pepper during the mash. Fattening, but it's Thanksgiving. A couple of things I'm hedging on: the gravy and dessert. I've just never mastered gravy. Yes it was racist origins but not because it's a racial slur to white people. More a condescending term that implies these white folks are lowly as the blacks. Cracker is a term that rich white planters called lower class white farmers who boasted a lot, "to crack." Another thing - brown people see white people talking to them about overpopulation and they decide these whites are only worried about the overpopulation of brown people. They see it as a racist, imperialistic act. Brown people don’t want white people thinking that they have power over brown people’s sex lives and birth rate.
