I think gender norms. Certain music is labelled as "girl" music and other music as "boy" music. Clairo is "girl" music. Don't get me wrong; this is a bullshit idea, but unfortunately it's true for a lot of people -- they think certain music is for boys and other music is for girls. All she’s said on an interview is that it’ll probably be in 5-10 years before she releases the next album and she wants to prioritise her own life, even saying that she was second guessing her choice for music. All we can do is wait and see tbh Clairo is one of the mellowest musicians I heard of. Before I knew who she was, a guy on youtube was texting celebrities and Clairo was the only one to respond.
